Spectrum announces faster internet plans at lower prices with network upgrades

(Gray News) - Charter Communications unveiled new pricing options and network upgrades this week for its customers using Spectrum as their internet provider.

The company announced that Spectrum's internet plans will now begin at $30 a month for 500 Mbps (instead of $50) when bundled and current customers will also have their speeds automatically increased for free to 400 and 600 Mbps.

Customers who chose the Spectrum Gig internet plan can now have that service starting at $40 a month (instead of $70) when bundled.

Spectrum said it is launching a "customer first commitment" with guaranteed pricing for up to three years without any annual contracts and reliable connectivity for its users.

"This new commitment to our customers goes beyond words; it is about action," Cliff Hagan, with customer operations at Charter Communications, said. "Our customers are also our friends, family and neighbors, and we hold ourselves accountable to them. If we are charging for a service, it should work all the time; if it doesn't, our customers should trust that we'll make it right."

Spectrum's new pricing plans and speed increases will roll out across its 41-state footprint this week.

Customers interested in Spectrum's new plans can find more information online.
