The presidential election isn't until Nov. 5, but "Real Time" host Bill Maher believes the race is already over.
On last Friday's episode of Maher's show, he discussed the race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. After seeing the two candidates debate on national television, he feels comfortable making a prediction.
"I'm going to make this a very momentous night with a prediction," Maher said at the beginning of his rant. "I think I have the credibility for this prediction because I've been called a Trump alarmist for a long time."
Maher then said that he believes Harris will defeat Trump in the upcoming election.
"Every time he's done crazy [expletive] and gotten himself in trouble, I said, 'No, no, it's not over.' I've said that, I've argued with people. ... Tonight I'm saying, I think it's over."
Maher is convinced that Trump has ruined his credibility by making far too many outlandish comments.
"Even before we were around, there was a guy named Joe McCarthy in the early 50s, and he had a hold on America. It blew out in about two-three years. I feel like 'eating the dogs,' we're at this point."
As of right now, Harris has a lead over Trump in the polls. That could change in the next few weeks though depending on how the two candidates handle themselves.
Maher, however, isn't worried about that. He's fairly convinced that Harris will take down Trump in November.
