HGTV star Christina Hall isn't letting her divorce drama get her down -- in fact, she's using it as a source of inspiration for the promotion of her new reality series, "The Flip Off."
The 41-year-old renovations expert and her third husband, Josh Hall, announced in July that they were ending their marriage after just two years, leaving a question mark over the future of their "Flip or Flop" spinoff series.
Now, Christina has offered up something of an answer in a new promo video for the show, which was meant to see her and Josh going head to head in a renovation battle with her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.
In a new clip posted on the HGTV Instagram account, Christina seems to hint that she plans to forge ahead with the project without her estranged spouse, with whom she is currently engaged in a bitter legal battle.
The clip starts off showing Tarek and Heather holding hands in front of the camera, while viral song "Me, You and Steve" by Garfunkel and Oates plays in the background.
"I can't believe that it's finally me and you, and you and me, just us..." the song begins. However as the lyrics cut to "and your friend Steve," Tarek and Heather split apart to reveal Christina popping up in the background, flashing a cheesy grin at the camera.
"Your friend Christina," the caption of the post read.
The cheeky video, which comes two months after Josh, 43, officially filed for divorce from Christina, sparked an outpouring of praise from viewers, with many commenting on the positive relationship among the trio.
"I love this," one person wrote. "Exes and coparents being adults."
Another added: "I'm glad they all get along! They're civil adults and it's healthy for the kids."
"There's nothing more civilized than exes being civil with one another. The ones that benefit the most are the KIDS," a third chimed in.
Over the past few months, Christina's relationship with Tarek and Heather appears to have been going from strength to strength. She regularly comments on their social media posts and recently took time out of her vacation to wish her former spouse a happy birthday.
Christina and Tarek were married nine years and share two children: daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 9. Christina also shares a son, Hudson, 5, with her second husband, Ant Anstead.
During Christina and Tarek's marriage, the couple became household names while starring together in the hit HGTV show "Flip or Flop," which continued to run after their 2017 split and subsequent divorce in 2019.
The show was ultimately canceled in 2022 after 10 seasons, with reports blaming "ongoing difficulties" caused by the former couple's divorce.
Sadly, her relationship with Josh has gone from bad to worse since they announced their divorce, with both engaging in a very public war of words, both on social media and in court.
Josh has accused his former spouse in legal documents of making "financial threats" towards him and described her behavior as "erratic and malicious," adding that she has been using "scorched-earth tactics" during their divorce proceedings.
His claims about his former spouse, whom he married in April 2022, were made in response to Christina's own allegations that he transferred $35,000 from her rental business account into his personal account.
The real estate investor has since agreed to pay back the money to Christina in a temporary settlement that was put in place as part of the divorce proceedings; however, he explained in his legal filing that he felt compelled to shut down "misrepresentations" he says she made in court.
