Today we're talking about the Rock M+ Season Preview again.

I know, I know, just hear me out.

With the first big game of Mizzou's season on the horizon, a lot of people are scrambling to learn about the Eagles through various outlets. But what if I told you there's a full Boston College preview available right now through the Rock M 2024 Season Preview magazine.

Oh, you don't believe me. Well, click this link for a FREE 16-page sampler and you'll see what I'm talking about. Yeah, you like that?

[lawyers and G-men enter and begin to drag me away]

Ah. Well. It appears that maybe I wasn't supposed to divulge this top secret information. So while I'm being dragged away and having my memory wiped, why not also visit Rock M+ to purchase the full thing -- you like 16 pages, try 116! -- for just $15 or cheaper if you sign up for Rock M+'s full services.

[you hear my voice echoing from the hall as my legs drag out of the door frame]

There's still time to learn everything you possibly can about this team, don't miss the opportunity!

Eli Drinkwitz revealed after the game that Kelly's mother, who had been present to watch his Mizzou debut last Thursday, died unexpectedly on Wednesday night. Forget producing anything on the field -- no one would've blamed Kelly if he was too distraught to suit up at all. The fact that he did so and continued to earn the staff's trust is a testament to his mental fortitude and, as Drinkwitz put it, the team's support of him as a person.

Here's to hoping Kelly is taking some time off early this week to grieve.

Building that perfection takes time. Eli's teams have always played better down the stretch than in September. Instead of spending your energy fretting about a few extra penalties against Buffalo, spend it appreciating the best defensive start in school history. Spend it daydreaming about how good this team is going to be once they have fully locked in.

There's also some good stuff in here about Corey Batoon's blitz rates and snap count battles between competing linebackers.

After NIU blocked a field goal to preserve the 16-14 win, Huskies coach Thomas Hammock gave an emotional interview on the field to NBC that was among the best things I saw this entire weekend. This is a guy who played for NIU and has been coaching his alma mater since 2019, so you know how special this moment was for him. It showed in the interview.

Who do you think cried harder that night, Hammock or Marcus Freeman?

Across the Mississippi, Charles Bass had 5 tackles as East St. Louis moved to 2-0 on the season. In Belleville, Jason Dowell also logged 5 tackles for Althoff in a 61-0 blowout of St. Theresa. In St. Louis, Mo., Jason King had three tackles for DeSmet, which beat MICDS 28-6.

For the full breakdown of Mizzou commitments and their high school performances, including big weeks for defensive line prospects Joshua Lewis and Daeden Hopkins, visit Rock M+.

The 2024 Mizzou Football season is one that has been met with as much anticipation as any in recent memory. With Eli Drinkwitz's program taking a huge step forward in the 2023 season, going 11-2 and securing a Cotton Bowl victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes, there's a renewed focus on what Missouri can do to put itself in the conversation for a berth in the College Football Playoff.

The digital magazine we present today is 115 pages chalk full of Mizzou Football previewing, scouting, interviewing, and more...

This is huge and we're so excited. Get over there and get your copy today!
