GLASGOW -- The Cairo Lady Bearcats pulled out a 1-0 victory Friday night in a pitchers' duel against the Jamestown Lady Eagles in the semifinals of the Class 1 District 3 Tournament at John Donaldson Field.

Olivia Cross was the winning pitcher for Cairo. In seven scoreless innings, she struck out 13 batters, allowing two hits and two walks.

Olivia Meisenheimer struck out 10 batters in six innings for Jamestown. She allowed an unearned run on one walk and three hits.

Jaycee David hit a two-out single in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring Cross for the game's only run.

Rylee Hirschvogel had both hits for the Lady Eagles, a leadoff single in the third inning and a leadoff double in the fifth. Jamestown had the bases loaded with no outs in the third inning but two strikeouts and an infield pop-up got Cairo out of the inning unscathed.

Jamestown, the No. 3 seed in the nine-team district tournament, wraps up its season with a 13-7 record.

Second-seeded Cairo (23-4), ranked No. 3 in Class 1, will play fourth-seeded Glasgow in the championship game at 6 p.m. Monday. The Lady Jackets upset top-seeded New Franklin -- ranked No. 2 -- for a 4-2 win in Friday's other semifinal game.
