Kevin Owens turned heel after attacking Cody Rhodes in a parking lot following the Bad Blood Premium Live Event and took it a step further by attacking Randy Orton on SmackDown last week. With that said, it appears that Kevin Owens is now accusing WWE of silencing him over his Cody Rhodes betrayal.
During the October 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens stormed to the ring and grabbed a microphone to share his frustrations. He explained that WWE had fined and suspended him for attacking Cody Rhodes and told him to stay away from the event in Greenville, South Carolina. Even though he was suspended, Owens couldn't stay away from Rhodes. Things got worse when Randy Orton tried to calm him down, but instead, Owens got angry and attacked Orton as well.
The Prizefighter took to Twitter and uploaded a video, where he accused WWE of trying to silence him and prevent him from explaining his actions after betraying Cody Rhodes. Owens explained that since the Bad Blood event, many have questioned and judged his actions toward Cody Rhodes. Despite wanting to share his side of the story, Owens says WWE has blocked him from doing so.
Owens mentioned that WWE didn't let him attend SmackDown, told him to stay home, and even cut his mic when he showed up. Over the weekend, he sent WWE a video that he hoped would air on Raw, but it wasn't shown, while Cody Rhodes was given plenty of airtime. Owens expressed his dislike for handling things on social media but gave WWE an ultimatum. He wants his video aired on the upcoming SmackDown, and if they don't, he plans to post it himself online.
"Ever since Bad Blood there's been a lot of questions about why I did what I did to Cody. There's been a lot of judgments too, a lot of people judging me for what I did. And as much as I'd love to explain myself, give my side of the story and speak my mind, WWE has not allowed me to do that.
"They have done the opposite actually, have tried to shut me up it seems, because they wouldn't let me come to SmackDown, they told me to stay home last Friday, even though I belong there. And when I showed up anyway, they cut my mic and did everything they could for me not to be able to talk.
"And then over the weekend, I sent them a video that I hoped they would air on Raw last night and they didn't. So nobody could hear what I had to say, but of course, they had plenty of time for Cody to talk.
"Look, the last thing I want to do is do this on social media because I hate it. So I'm giving them until Friday, this Friday on WWE SmackDown to air my video so that people can hear what I have to say. And if they don't, then I guess I'll post it here."
Dave Meltzer reported that with WWE planning a "shoot-style" presentation for Kevin Owens and Randy Orton's upcoming match, it's expected that this match will take place at Saturday Night's Main Event as well. Nonetheless, we'll have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton's storyline in the coming months, as there is certainly a lot of intrigue in their angle right now.
