It was a busy day for Santa at the annual Medina Breakfast Kiwanis lunch

MEDINA, Ohio --The Medina Breakfast Kiwanis Club hosted 142 families and more than 320 children at their annual Lunch with Santa event Dec 14.

The Medina County Career Center cafeteria was a wonderland of food, crafts and a reading area provided by Live Inspired.

Each child received an age-appropriate book and a bag with games and toys. They also received hats, gloves and scarves.

All who attended had a visit with Santa and were given a photo to take home.

The photographer and equipment for the photos was provided by the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

The Kiwanis Club provided the photos free of charge.

Lunch was served to all in attendance. The food was donated by the Breakfast Kiwanis Club and Sandridge Foods.

Other donors were Marc's, Little Debbie and Discount Drug Mart.

Each family was able to select Christmas presents for their children. They also received a bag with a complete Christmas dinner, donated by club member Brian Russell.

Tracie Hanzel of the Breakfast Kiwanis was the chair of the event. She had plenty of help from elves from her family, the Breakfast Kiwanis Club, the Career Center Key Club, Aktion Club members and many volunteers.
