Take-Two Interactive Software has sold independent games-focused publishing label Private Division to an undisclosed buyer as it shifts to a focus on larger projects, the company announced. Take-Two Interactive Software CEO Strauss Zelnick told GamesIndustry.biz the buyer will be disclosed "relatively soon."
Back in May, Bloomberg reported that Take-Two Interactive Software planned to close Private Division subsidiary studios Roll7 and Intercept Games, which Zelnick denied, despite documents stating otherwise. However, with today's announcement, a Take-Two Interactive Software spokesperson has confirmed that both Roll7 and Intercept Games were closed prior to the sale of Private Division.
