Tow truck hydroplanes, flips in fatal Brown County crash

BROWN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A man from Glen Rose died in a single-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday morning in Brown County.

A single-vehicle fatal crash occurred at 11:28 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, on U.S. 67/377, just past the Blanket Creek overpass.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a tow truck traveling south on U.S. 67/377 had just passed the Blanket Creek overpass when it hydroplaned on the wet road. The driver overcorrected while skidding, which caused the truck to veer off the road and flip off the west side.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Lucas Bentley Randall, a 43-year-old from Glen Rose, Texas. According to the DPS report, he was not wearing a seatbelt, and the weather conditions were wet and cloudy.
