Taylor Swift Fans Rip Bengals for Touchdown Celebration vs. Chiefs

The Cincinnati Bengals put up a formidable challenge on Sunday, September 15, as they battled the two-time defending champions Kansas City Chiefs. In the end, however, the Bengals fell short, as they suffered a heartbreaking 26-25 loss at the Arrowhead Stadium.

Taylor Swift was, of course, in attendance to support the Chiefs and boyfriend Travis Kelce. This only means that fans of the pop queen were tuned in to the contest as well. In fact, more than a few of them observed that karma may have played a role in Cincinnati's tough loss.

Early in the second quarter, Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas scored the first touchdown of the night following a four-yard pass from Joe Burrow. His TD celebration caught the eye of some Taylor Swift fans watching the game.

Iosivas' archer celebration is similar to Kelce's own celebration/gesture -- one that even Swift herself busted out during her Eras Tour concerts.

Incidentally, one of Swift's songs is entitled "The Archer," which perfectly aligns with Kelce's famed celebration.

Taylor Swift fans, aka the Swifties, do not believe that Iosivas' celebration was a coincidence. They took to X, formerly Twitter, to call out the Bengals for the perceived dig.

"Bengals player just scored and did the archer pose. He will start to cough in 7 days," said a user.

"bengals did the archer they got tayvoodoo," a comment read.

"the bengals player doing the archer celebration doesn't know about tayvoodoo i fear," another stated.

"bengals did the archer pose? rookie mistake," a tweet said.

"tayvoodoo for that bengals player who did the archer pose iktr," reacted a Swift fan.

For context, Tayvoodoo is a colloquial term that was coined to describe a sudden wave of karma for those who cross Taylor Swift.

There is obviously no scientific evidence to back this phenomenon. However, Swifties are adamant that Iosivas and the Bengals got exactly what was coming for them for taking a supposed jab at Kelce, Swift, and the Chiefs.

Tayvoodoo or not, Cincinnati is now 0-2 to start the new season.
