Friddell, Glenda Rose Dill

Glenda Rose Dill Friddell, 87, left her earthly body and took her heavenly flight to the master and Savior of her life on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Glenda was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee and retired from TVA. She graduated from Tyner High School in 1955.

Glenda loved the Lord. She spent her life serving him in many ways. She played the piano and organ in many churches. Glenda taught Sunday School and loved to sing in the choir. She always encouraged people to be in the Bible and memorize verses. She was a faithful and active member of Oak Grove Church of God. She enjoyed going to Church of God singings and traveling the US. She also served for many years as a volunteer at Erlanger Hospital.

Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Friddell; son, Claud Friddell; parents, Claude and Ruth Dill; grandparents, Cora and Poppa Dill; sister, Betty Pritchard; cousin, Eva Joyce Ganoe; and her precious great-grandson, Eli Williams.

Glenda is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Henry) Achey; granddaughter, Heather (Emory) Williams; grandson, Randall Russell; and great-grandson, Noah Williams. She is also survived by her special cousins, Phyllis Dill; Kenneth (Sandra) McDaniel; and Tammy Highers, as well as many nieces and nephews.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers, Moochie, Tammy, Amanda, Samantha, Ronnie, and Shirley. Also we give a special thanks to Lifecare of Ooltewah, and Caris Healthcare Hospice, especially Mally, Alexis and Autumn.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, in the Valley View chapel. Interment will follow in the Old McDonald Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
