BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- Houchin Blood Bank and Tony's Pizza are offering a delicious way to give back - a free large, one-topping pizza for a blood donation.

From November 1 through November 30, all successful blood donors who take part in the "Give a Pint, Get Pizza" campaign will receive a voucher for a free large, one-topping pizza at any Tony's Pizza across Kern County (while pizzas last).

"Every pint donated can save up to three lives, and as we enter the holiday season, the need for donations is greatly needed," stated Shane Hubbard, Marketing and Communications Manager at Houchin Blood Bank.

To make an appointment, visit Houchin at hcbb.com/schedule. Walk-in donors are also welcome.

Donors must be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be at least 16 years old with parent or guardian consent. A photo ID with a birth date is required.
