A pedestrian died after being hit by a driver at Geary Boulevard and Divisadero Street early Friday morning, San Francisco Police Department officials said.
San Francisco Fire Department and police officers arrived at the scene near the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center around 6:50 a.m. where they found a pedestrian suffering from life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The person was officially declared deceased at a hospital, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.
The fatal collision happened just days after a pedestrian was struck by a dump truck in the Parnassus Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. He died at the scene, officials said.
