9 Spots Ready To Celebrate Negroni Week In Miami

Negroni Week has arrived! Presented by Imbibe Magazine and Campari, this delicious week was launched in 2013 as a celebration of one of the world's most beloved cocktails and an effort to raise money for charity.

Just over a decade later, Negroni Week has grown from about 120 participating venues to thousands of venues around the world, and the initiative has raised over $5 million for charitable organizations.

This year's charitable partner is Slow Food, an organization that focuses on sustainability, education, equity, and diversity in all facets of hospitality. Slow Food is known for its global footprint, with chapters and initiatives in countries and cities all over the world. Aptly, it's also an organization with roots in Italy -- the birthplace of the Negroni.

For one week in September, bars and restaurants mix classic Negronis and Negroni variations for a great cause -- like Slow Food. To participate, each venue signs up online and makes a donation, then they are listed as an official Negroni Week partner. These partners can return during and after Negroni Week to make additional donations to the chosen charity, based on their Negroni sales during the week.

It's easy! All you have to do is head to one of the participating spots and enjoy its Negroni Week specials. The complete list of who is taking part in Negroni Week can be found on the official website.

But to make it a little easier, here are 9 Miami restaurants and bars that are taking part this year. Plus, a peek at their special Negroni Week offerings.

ViceVersa, Miami's newest aperitivo bar, will be participating in Negroni Week with three special cocktails that will be available all week long. Head on over to sip Negroni variations like the Green Coffee Negroni made with ViceVersa's Mi-To, green coffee, and gin; a Campari Granita made with Campari, orange oleo, and blood orange sorbet; and a delicious Garibaldino made using ViceVersa's Mi-To, fluffy orange juice, and coffee salt. Plus, there will be a special event taking place on Thursday, September 19th from 6 to 9 p.m. with even more limited time menu items and surprises.

Head to Osaka for a Negroni that's a bit unexpected. Osaka's Kunsei (smoked) Negroni is made with a premium Japanese gin, cocoa liqueur, campari and sweet vermouth that has been infused with tangerine and sake. Blending the notes from sake with all of the other ingredients gives the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. The cocktail is presented with hickory smoked Japanese wood and delivered tableside in a wooden box inspired by a spiritual incense holder to transmit good energy. "New to our international cocktail menu, the Kunsei Negroni expresses many notes from botanical to hints of chocolate. The sake helps control sweetness and the Japanese wood gives it a smokiness, resulting in a complex cocktail full of good vibes," shares Jean Carlo Cardenas, the Corporate Bartender who oversees Osaka.

Celebrate Negroni Week at the newly opened Casa Neos on the Miami River. Featuring a special menu of Negroni variations including the In The Vine featuring a mix of white balsamic vinegar, Botanist gin, Verjus, Campari, Yuzu Grape Cordial, and a dash of OJ bitters, topped with grapes; the Negroni Sereno -- which is a zero proof version made with Ritual gin, ritual aperitif, and Pathfinder, topped with an orange wedge, and of course a Negroni Sbagliato made with prosecco, Campari, and sweet vermouth, finished with an orange twist.

LPM Miami will feature three limited-edition variations of the classic cocktail in honor of Negroni Week. Sip on the Equinox for a twist on the white negroni featuring London N°3 Pistachio Gin, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, Lillet Blanc, apricot liqueur, and eucalyptus bitter finished with a lime coin; or indulge in the Negroni Provencal, a Rosita Negroni twist with a French Riviera influence, carefully crafted with Espolon Reposado, Akul Mezcal, jasmine dry vermouth, spiced pear sauternes, Campari, and garnished with an edible flower. If you're looking for something a little funkier, opt for The Corsican Negroni which is a twist on the Kingston Negroni, blissfully blending Buttered Mango Appleton 12 & JM VSOP, Vermouth Del Professore, Campari, and amaretto, complete with a dried mango coin.

Michael's Genuine has created the BeeGroni, which will be served for the entire month of September. This refreshingly crushable spin on a Negroni is made with Barr Hill gin, Campari, house infused lemon honey, orange, and prosecco. It has a lovely blend of citrus and bitter notes with a touch of sweetness and some bubbles for a crisp finish. Additionally, their house Negroni, 'The House of Barrels' is made with aged Sipsmith VJOP, Campari, and sweet vermouth that's made in house.

Negroni Week is a very special week at Café La Trova, not just to celebrate the cocktail, but more importantly to support good causes. Cafe La Trova is proud to donate to Slow Food for Negroni Week; and through other activities like a community bike ride, support the Helen David Relief Fund which assists those in the bar industry who are undergoing treatment for, and recovery from, cancer. During Negroni Week, Cafe La Trova will feature four different Negronis: the Classic Negroni; Coconut Negroni; Boulevardier; and Negroni Sbagliato.

This hidden gem in Brickell is featuring three special takes on the Negroni during Negroni Week. Options include the Dark Coconut Negroni made with Brugal 1888 Aged Rum, coconut-washed Campari, and sweet vermouth; the White Negroni made using No. 3 Gin, Suze, and Lillet Blanc; and the classic Negroni Sbagliato made with Campari, sweet vermouth, and prosecco. On Friday, September 20, diners can experience an interactive takeover at the restaurant's bar, including a display highlighting the experience where guests will discover detailed descriptions of the Negroni Week offers and receive a sample of each drink.

Dom's has transformed into Haus of Negroni for the month of September. The bar will offer a limited-edition menu that celebrates the Negroni and its role in the world of mixology. At the heart of Haus of Negroni is a creatively designed menu curated by bar manager Mitchel Bauer that tells the classic children's story of Pinocchio through 18 expertly crafted cocktails. Each drink reflects a different part of the tale, which comes from the same Italian town where the Negroni was born, providing guests with a unique narrative journey as they sip their way through the menu. Throughout the month, DOM'S will also host pop-ups where bartenders from other Magic City hotspots will take over the bar and offer their unique takes on the iconic drink.

One of the most underrated hotel lobby bars in the city will be celebrating Negroni Week with a special riff on the Negroni made with coffee-infused Bombay Sapphire, Cocchi Americano, Campari, garnished with an Orange Twist and served on a big ice cube. This coffee-flavored Negroni perfectly blends bitter notes with a smooth aromatic finish.
