Pegula is set to take on Karolina Muchova while Navarro is set to face No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka

The stage is set for a dramatic final four days at the US Open. Four Americans remain alive for the Grand Slam titles in total with two of them facing off in the semis. The women take to the court first on Thursday and could set up an All-American final on Saturday.

Upstart Emma Navarro, who entered as the No. 13 seed, will take on No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka. Navarro has exploded on the scene this year after a win over former US Open champion Coco Gauff at Wimbledon before repeating the feat in Queens, New York last week. As far as she has been at a Grand Slam event, Navarro takes on arguably the toughest test of her career as Sabalenka enters as the heavy favorite. Sabalenka won the Australian Open the last two years and was a finalist at the US Open in 2023 where she fell to Gauff.

In the other women's semifinal, No. 6 seed Jessica Pegula gets her first crack at reach a Grand Slam final when she takes on Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic. Pegula scored the biggest win of her career on Wednesday when she ousted No. 1 seed Iga Swiatek in straight sets to reach a Grand Slam semifinal for the first time. She gets a stiff test in Muchova, who reached the French Open final in 2023 and the US Open semifinal last year as well.
