Love Is Blind's Hannah Jiles Quit Ozempic After It Made Her 'So Sick,' Says Recent Weight Loss Is 'All Me' (Exclusive)

Joelle Goldstein is a Senior News Editor on the TV team for PEOPLE Digital. She has been with the brand since 2017, working as an intern, digital news writer and Human Interest writer-reporter before joining the TV team to help oversee and edit digital coverage. Her work has previously appeared in The Hollywood Reporter.

Hannah Jiles is letting it be known that her recent weight loss is "all me" and not the result of Ozempic -- which led to unpleasant side effects.

After showing off the weight she's lost since her time on Love Is Blind, the 27-year-old spoke to PEOPLE about how she achieved the physical transformation. Addressing rumors on social media, she says her improved health is not due to Ozempic, an FDA-approved prescription medication for people with type 2 diabetes.

It's one of the brand names for semaglutide -- also known as Wegovy -- which works in the brain to impact satiety, and is the latest Hollywood weight loss trend.

"Everyone's saying I am on Ozempic. I did try Ozempic. Back in the spring, I tried it for two weeks, I think. And unfortunately, I think it's an amazing thing, but it made me so sick I couldn't take it," Jiles tells PEOPLE. "Trust me, I would take it if I could."

"But it was just all me," she says.

Jiles explains that her weight often fluctuates, and during her time on the Netflix dating series, she was in the midst of her weight loss journey. She admits that after a "rough year" she decided to focus on what she needed to do for her health.

"If weight is something that I'm super insecure about, then I need to change that. And so I just work towards it," she says. "It's wild that everyone just thinks I'm just a liar and stuff. I just really tried hard."

"Since [the show], I've gotten Botox, I've gotten lip injections, got hair extensions, I've done things like that. But I haven't changed who I am or have done anything. I had a goal and I was going to get there," she stresses.

As someone who loves to eat and doesn't like to work out, Jiles says "crash diets" were never the answer. Now, she's figured out a healthy relationship with food and exercise and it's gotten her results.

"I still don't really like working out, but I just try to move as much as possible. And if I can do Pilates or yoga, that's the best I can do because I'm not going running. It's just not me," she says. "And I just don't eat a lot."

"Not changing what I eat, just how much I ate and just trying to move more."

By doing so, Jiles says she's proud of the progress she's made, and it's starting to show.

"I feel better inside. And I think it does really reflect," she tells PEOPLE. "It's a lot easier to get up and move and eat healthy when you're not depressed inside. You feel better about yourself."

On October 8, Jiles posted a video on TikTok showing off the weight she's lost since season 7 of Love Is Blind was filmed.

In the clip, she shares her headshot from the show while jumping on the latest trend and lip syncing to Dakota Fanning's lines from 2003's Uptown Girls.

"Take a look around, do you see her anywhere? News flash. You're not gonna," she mouthed while posing in a black mini dress.

Jiles added in the caption, "Same girl, just a healthier mindset."
