The Ohio high school football regular season is officially in the books.
Across the river, Kentucky still has one more week until the playoffs start, but that picture is becoming clearer. After a nine-week regular season, the Indiana state playoffs started this week.
Here are the top takeaways from Friday night's action.
Princeton claims back-to-back Greater Miami Conference titles
Yes, the Vikings and Lakota West finished with identical 8-1 league records, but Princeton gets the tiebreak thanks to a 14-6 head-to-head win on Sept. 6.
Andre Parker's squad had no problem getting past Colerain, winning 41-3. The Vikings allowed 96 yards of total offense while De'Angelo Birch threw for 110 yards and Teryntino Brown-Freeman ran for 117 yards.
Lakota West ended the regular season on a seven-game winning streak thanks to a 41-0 win over Mason. Quarterback Sam Wiles provided 260 yards of total offense and Grant Beerman and Rece Mason both grabbed an interception.
The Vikings and Thunderbirds both secured top-four seeds in the Division I, Region 4 playoffs, meaning they wouldn't meet again until the regional semifinals at the earliest.
Taylor stuns Indian Hill
The Yellowjackets didn't let an early deficit get them down, responding with 21 points to take a 21-14 halftime lead. The teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter before Taylor's defense held strong in a scoreless fourth quarter to secure a 28-21 win.
It is Taylor's first win over Indian Hill since 2014. Now on a five-game winning streak, the Yellowjackets have major momentum heading into the DIV, Region 16 playoffs, where they are the No. 6 seed in Joe Eitel's latest rankings.
Badin claims seventh straight Greater Catholic League-Coed title
This season hasn't been easy for the Rams. After graduating 25 seniors, they lost their first two games, 15-0 and 17-3.
But Nick Yordy's team has turned it around. Led by Lem Grayson, Trent Owens and Alex Albrinck, Badin is now on an eight-game winning streak. Four of those wins have come by 10 points or less. The last one was the most important so far.
Trailing 6-3, Colt Emerson found L.T. King for a 26-yard touchdown to take a 10-6 lead. In a defensive battle, Rocco Milazzo was the hero for the Rams. The junior, who had recorded five tackles in the first nine weeks, grabbed his first career interception with 20 seconds left to seal the victory.
Badin has clinched a top-four seed in the DII, Region 8 playoffs, while it looks like McNicholas will be the No. 5 seed in DIII, Region 12.
Cooper ends season with historic performance
With a 63-21 win over Dixie Heights, the Jaguars secured their first undefeated season in school history. They are also the final Boone County school to enjoy a perfect regular season, joining Boone County (1987 and 1994), Conner (2003) and Ryle (2016).
On a 12-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, Cam O'Hara became the third quarterback in Northern Kentucky history to pass for 100 career touchdowns. Receiver Isaiah Johnson also became Cooper's all-time leading scorer.
Elsewhere in Northern Kentucky, Ludlow (Class 1A, District 4), Beechwood (Class 2A, District 5), Covington Catholic (Class 4A, District 5) and Ryle (Class 6A, District 6) all clinched district championships, guaranteeing themselves at least two home games in the postseason.
Lawrenceburg moves on in Indiana state playoffs
The Tigers picked up their second straight win over East Central. The 34-8 final is a far cry from their 17-14 win to end the regular season. They will now host Greensburg, whom they beat 70-3 on Sept. 13. Greensburg beat Purdue Polytechnic to win its first game since 2022.
East Central begins its postseason next week on the road at Seymour. After winning back-to-back titles in Class 4A, the Trojans moved up to Class 5A.
