ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) -- Helene's catastrophic floods seriously damaged a Biltmore Village business, but at least one item remained intact, albeit a little muddy and out of place.
Gretchen Westbrock said she delivered supplies to her friend who owns Professional Party Rentals (PPR) and saw one of the shop's showroom table displays had floated through the glass of the business's broken window and across the parking lot.
IT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING: BILTMORE VILLAGE BEGINS GRUELING RECOVERY POST-HELENE
Extraordinarily, the table landed upright with nothing of the setting display out of place.
Much of Biltmore Village was severely damaged after a day of heavy rain was followed by Helene. The deluge caused the Swannanoa and French Broad rivers to spill over their banks, causing devastating and deadly flooding.
In a Facebook post, Professional Party Rentals said its Asheville location suffered significant damages and total loss of inventory. However, all employees were contacted and are safe.
