The United States women's national soccer team will take on Iceland on Sunday in Nashville in its second match since winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics in August.
The international friendly, which will take place at Geodis Park, will be the second matchup between the USWNT and Iceland in four days. Alyssa Thompson, Jaedyn Shaw and Sophia Smith scored to lead the U.S. to a 3-1 win Thursday at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas.
The USWNT will face Argentina on Wednesday in Louisville in the third and final game of the international window.
In its history, the USWNT has played five games in Nashville, eight in Tennessee and once at Geodis Park. The U.S. beat Japan 1-0 in the 2023 SheBelieves Cup in front of a crowd of 24,471 at Geodis, with Mallory Swanson scoring the lone goal.
The USWNT is undefeated in 11 games under coach Emma Hayes, who made her debut earlier this year and coached the team to the Olympic gold medal.. The roster for Sunday's friendly includes 17 members of this summer's Olympic team, including Swanson, Smith, Lindsey Horan, Rose Lavelle and Naomi Girma.

This will be the 17th meeting between the two countries, with the USWNT undefeated in the series (14-0-2). The two countries first met in 1998.
In the current FIFA world rankings, the USWNT is No. 1 and Iceland is 13th.
