21-year-old faces murder charge in Far East Dallas shooting that killed 1, injured another

A 21-year-old was arrested Wednesday for his alleged role in a shooting that left one person dead and another injured in Far East Dallas last month.

Keland Turner faces a murder charge and remained in custody as of Wednesday morning at the Dallas County jail. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Officers responded shortly after 1:30 a.m. Aug. 18 to the 8300 block of La Prada Drive and found two victims who had been shot by an unknown suspect, police said at the time.

Stevie Gray, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene and the second victim, who was not identified, had a hand injury, police said.
