Steamboat Springs Rotary Club donates $141,000 to Northwest Colorado Health

Steamboat Springs Rotary Club celebrated its 50th anniversary this year by donating over $141,000 to Northwest Colorado Health on Tuesday.

The money -- $141,545.57 in total -- was raised by the club at the annual LobsterFest Gala, which served up more than 300 fresh lobsters to community members at Bob Adams Airport this summer.

"Our club took great pride in raising much needed funds for home health and hospice services provided by Northwest Colorado Health," said Gillian Morris, the co-chair of this year's LobsterFest, in a statement. "We especially thank our sponsors, members and the community for their amazing support."

Northwest Colorado Health is celebrating its own anniversary, marking 60 years of dedicated service to Routt County.

"We are extremely grateful for the support we've received from Rotary," said Steph Einfeld, CEO of Northwest Colorado Health, in a statement. "Our organization depends on our Routt County community, just as the community relies on us to provide quality health care services for the residents we serve."

Since 1999, Steamboat Springs Rotary Club has raised over $2.6 million for philanthropic grants to good causes throughout Routt County. The club is proud to celebrate 50 years of making positive impacts in the Yampa Valley.
