The public is invited to join the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the local McDonald's at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 795 Tucker Road.

Claire Scotti, the chamber's chief executive, said the organization is excited to celebrate the milestone.

"For 30 years, this locally owned business has been a landmark for Tehachapi, providing a safe indoor space for kids to play. Tehachapi's McDonald's has sponsored many events and collaborated with organizations like the Salvation Army to help feed the hungry."

Tehachapi resident Maryann Paciullo owns the first McDonald's location in town, on Tucker Road, and the location at the Love's Travel Center, in addition to others in Kern County.
