DJ Taylor's four TD game headlines Nashville's top performers from TSSAA football playoffs

Riverdale defeated Cookeville in the first round of TSSAA football playoffs, as DJ Taylor finished with four total touchdowns, rushing for two scores and 151 yards, returning a kickoff 89-yards for a touchdown and catching a two-yard touchdown pass.

Here are the rest of our Tennessee high school football top performers from the Nashville area in Week 1 of the TSSAA football playoffs.

Fletcher Fields, BGA: Fields had eight carries for 123 yards and two scores as BGA defeated Webb School of Knoxville, 42-7.

Ethan Kellum, BGA: Kellum rushed eight times for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Gavyn Nelson, Brentwood: Nelson rushed 19 times for 95 yards with a touchdown and had two catches for 36 yards and a touchdown in Brentwood's 37-21 win over Smyrna.

Montae Baldwin, Columbia Academy: Baldwin rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on five carries to push Columbia Academy to a 49-8 win over King's Academy.

Caden Stroud, Davidson Academy: Stroud rushed for 280 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-17 loss to Boyd Buchanan.

Mitchell Carey, DCA: Carey was 22-of-33 passing for 259 yards with three touchdowns and added two touchdowns and 35 yards rushing as DCA defeated Tipton-Rosemark, 38-0.

Kaleb Snitzer, Eagleville: Snitzer had 99 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to lead Eagleville past Houston County, 14-6.

Cade Brooks, East Robertson: Brooks had eight carries for 118 yards with a touchdown and added 65 yards and a touchdown on three receptions, as East Robertson defeated Fayetteville, 49-13.

Mike Hassell, FRA: Hassell rushed five times for 96 yards with two touchdowns and added a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in FRA's 44-13 win over Chattanooga Christian.

Brewer Wilson, Franklin: Wilson was 16-of-23 passing for 198 yards and three touchdowns as Franklin defeated Antioch, 28-14.

Grayson DeGraff, Grace Christian: DeGraff caught nine passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-7 win over Providence Christian.

Knox Lambert, Grace Christian: Lambert was 23-of-29 passing for 370 yards and four touchdowns with an interception.

Corben Reynolds, Loretto: Reynolds had seven receptions for 166 yards and three touchdowns as Loretto fell to Huntingdon, 63-28.

Mason Tidwell, Loretto: Tidwell was 19-of-31 passing for 283 yards and three touchdowns, adding 46 yards and a touchdown rushing.

Gabe Borders, Macon County: Borders rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries as Macon County defeated Soddy Daisy, 34-0.

Zach Borders, Macon County: Borders had 14 carries for 181 yards and two touchdowns.

Kel Hightower, Marshall County: Hightower had five catches for 97 yards and three touchdowns in Marshall County's 42-5 win over Lexington.

Brooklen Davis, MBA: Davis rushed 18 times for 106 yards with a touchdown on 18 carries and caught three passes for 36 yards and a score in MBA's 21-20 win over Briarcrest.

Alie Bangura, MTCS: Bangura rushed for 256 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries to push MTCS past Fayette Academy, 41-14.

Shy Murphy, MTCS: Murphy rushed seven times for 92 yards and three touchdowns.

Craig Tutt, Oakland: Tutt rushed nine times for 103 yards and three touchdowns, adding three tackles on defense, as Oakland defeated Lebanon, 41-0.

LJ Funk, Pearl-Cohn: Funk completed 16-for-21 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns in Pearl-Cohn's 36-16 win over South Gibson.

Caleb Floyd, Stewarts Creek: Floyd rushed 18 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns as Stewarts Creek defeated Independence, 20-14.

Peyton Niehaus, Summertown: Niehaus caught three passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns, also grabbing an interception on defense, as Summertown fell to Jackson Central-Merry, 34-28.

Ethan Palk, Upperman: Palk rushed 12 times for 92 yards and two touchdowns in Upperman's 49-0 win over Signal Mountain.

Logan Pannell, York: Pannell rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries in York's 42-8 win over Hampton.
