Janelle Brown is pulling back the curtain on some hard truths within the Brown family.
In the latest "Sister Wives" episode, Janelle shares why her daughter, Madison Brown, chose to keep her third pregnancy a secret from her father, Kody Brown, pointing to his lack of involvement as a critical factor.
This confession comes on the heels of Janelle Brown's recent criticisms, where she accused Kody Brown of selective "amnesia" regarding their past.
In the latest episode of TLC's "Sister Wives," Janelle revealed that Madison felt Kody's lack of involvement in her children's lives left her questioning his interest in her growing family.
When Kody asked the 55-year-old, "Why didn't she call me to tell me she was having a baby?" Janelle responded frankly, "The kids are all feeling very estranged from you."
In a confessional, Janelle elaborated, sharing with viewers that Madison had confided in her about Kody's absence in her children's lives.
"Madison has observed to me that Kody has not been out to see her kids since Evie was born, and Evie's 3," Janelle explained, according to PEOPLE.
Madison, who has three children with husband Caleb Brush -- son Axel and daughters Evie and Josephine -- felt that telling Kody about her pregnancy would be pointless given his limited interest in her family.
In the revealing scene, Kody wrestled with the reasons behind his strained relationship with his daughter. Struggling to grasp Madison's decision, he expressed frustration, saying:
"She's talking like I've done some kind of evil to them. I'm missing something here."
Kody attributed the distance to "jealousy and gossip," a sentiment he had voiced before this season. For instance, in a previous episode, his frustrations boiled over with his fourth and only remaining wife, Robyn, as he lamented that Madison was intentionally shutting him out.
"They're purposefully leaving me out of their lives to punish me for a crime I didn't commit," he claimed, adding, "I am only guilty of not falling madly in love with their mothers."
When Robyn urged him to reach out to Madison, Kody remained skeptical, claiming, "Every time I talk to her, she spreads gossip about me to the rest of the family."
While Kody aired his frustration about not knowing of Madison's third pregnancy, Janelle was busy celebrating her daughter's upcoming fourth child.
The Blast reported that Janelle proudly shared Madison's Instagram announcement on her Story back in September, captioning it with, "Pretty dang excited," and a heart-eyes emoji.
Madison's post featured her in a black gown, cradling her baby bump with a joyful caption, "What a wild year! Looks like 2025 might be a little crazy too! Baby Brush #4 coming March 2025."
The year has indeed been emotional following the tragic loss of Madison's brother Garrison.
Excitement was in the air for the expecting "Sister Wives" star after her pregnancy announcement. Fans even eagerly speculated about her fourth baby's gender, to which the TV personality responded with, "Thank you. We don't know just yet."
One fan humorously suggested twins, stating, "What would be even wilder is if you have TWINS! Sending you love & prayers for a healthy pregnancy & baby #4!"
Madison quickly clarified, "Haha, not twins. Idk that I could handle that, so thankfully, no." She also mentioned that she was "just shy of 18 weeks" along, confirming her fourth pregnancy journey.
Madison admitted she had tried to keep her pregnancy under wraps for a while. A fan caught on, though, commenting, "I knew it when you were holding your shirt out in the farm announcement!!! Congrats!!!"
Janelle's latest critique of her ex-husband is far from the first time she has openly called him out. Previously, she unleashed her frustration over his version of their marriage, confronting his selective memory about their past.
The Blast shared that the moment occurred in the October 27 episode of the show when she confronted Kody's claim that he never truly loved his ex-wives. During a conversation with Meri, Kody hinted that Janelle was "not interested in a relationship," downplaying his own actions.
Janelle was quick to fire back, calling out what she saw as his convenient forgetfulness. "I just think that he has amnesia when it comes to the past because you just can't keep up that kind of pretense for 20 years," the star noted.
Janelle insisted, "He can say whatever he wants. It'sfine because I just don't care anymore."
Janelle Brown and her children seem focused on building lives that are not dependent on Kody Brown's involvement, sending a strong message that they are ready to move forward without him.
