MUNICH -- Giants edge rusher Brian Burns was looking forward to facing his old team on Sunday.
But then he got hurt with 7:20 left in the third quarter, when the Giants were trailing 10-7 and the Panthers were driving.
The Panthers got the No. 39 overall draft pick from the Giants this past offseason, as general manager Joe Schoen landed Burns. Schoen then made a three-year, $90 million commitment to Burns, via a new contract. Burns has mostly played well amid a 2-7 start.
