Former champion teases return as UFC 312 card gets in the works

The former UFC welterweight champion has teased his return to the octagon. Kamaru Usman is widely regarded as one of the best welterweights of all time.

Despite losing his last three fights, Usman is still among the most popular names in the promotion. He was last seen in action when he stepped in on short notice last year to fight Khamzat Chimaev.

Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the former UFC champion to return to the octagon. And fans can finally get excited as Usman is back in training camp preparing for a fight.

While the exact date for his return is unknown, there are two potential matchups that have been speculated. First, Usman could step in place of Belal Muhammad at UFC 310 and fight Shavkhat Rokhmonov, or, he could take on Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 312. Usman took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself while stating, "Troublemaker! I soon come."

For those unaware, UFC is heading back to Australia in February 2025 and a potential bout between Usman and Maddalena is one that is highly being looked forward to. However, with Muhammad pulling out of UFC 310, the promotion might be inclined toward Usman going up against Rokhmonov for an interim title.
