In this time of deep division, it is heartbreaking to witness our country's descent into a place of fear, political violence, scapegoating and lies. Yet right here in Belfast, Belmont and Northport, the towns of House District 39, we have the opportunity to vote for a person of great integrity and honesty. Many of you know Rep. Janice S. Dodge, running for her fourth term in the Maine state Legislature.

Born and raised in Maine, you likely have met Jan over these past years at any number of events, but probably right at your own back door! Once again, Jan's commitment to her constituents, and to her beloved state of Maine, has brought her to knock on over 1,800 doors in the district, to hear and listen to your concerns and to act to address them whenever possible. And as important, you have experienced the joy and generosity of spirit Jan brings to the job; her empathy and kindness are authentic.
