The Pirates placed Davis on the 10-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to Sept. 5, due to left hand inflammation, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

It's unclear when exactly Davis suffered the injury, but he hasn't seen the field since going 0-for-3 with a strikeout Wednesday against the Cubs. Joey Bart and Yasmani Grandal will continue to split catching duties for the Pirates.
