GRAND RAPIDS - Two men are dead after a house fire Friday afternoon in Grand Rapids.
At about 2 p.m. Friday, a person called 911 and said they needed immediate help at 5721 Boulder Circle in the town of Grand Rapids, according to a news release from the Grand Rapids Police Department. When the Grand Rapids Police Department, United Ambulance and Grand Rapids First Responders arrived there was smoke coming out of the residence and the Grand Rapids Fire Department was sent to the scene.
Fire personnel found an adult male inside the home with significant injuries. Lifesaving efforts were performed but they were not successful and the man died, according to the release.
A second man was found inside the residence after the fire was extinguished and he was also dead, the release said.
The home is a total loss.
The incident and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
