VOTE for the Morris/Sussex Football Player of the Week for Week 2

After another fun week of the high school football season, it's time to look back on the best performances.

Barlow carried 22 times for 134 yards as the Rangers ran past Kinnelon, 28-6, on Friday night. Barlow's longest run of the night went for 29 yards to set up Wallkill Valley on one of four straight touchdown drives in the first half. The Rangers are now atop the SFC National Blue division with wins in consecutive weeks.

West Morris junior defensive lineman

Borgia led the Wolfpack with 10 tackles, including four sacks, as well as a forced fumble in a 23-0 win over Morristown on Friday night. The four sacks are the most in one game for Borgia, who also set a career best with five tackles for loss. Borgia has at least four sacks for West Morris for the third straight season.

Mount Olive senior running back

Cumming ran 20 times for 179 yards and two touchdowns as the Marauders defeated Randolph on Friday night, 49-14. Cumming's 14-yard touchdown run in the second quarter pulled Mount Olive out of a slow start and within a point at 14-13. In the third quarter, an 11-yard touchdown run for Cumming was the start of a 29-0 second half for the Marauders en route to victory.

Montville senior wide receiver

Feaster rushed 13 times for 155 yards and three touchdowns during a 27-13 win over Chatham on Friday night. Feaster also caught five passes for 33 yards, hauled in an interception and blocked a kick. Feaster blocked the extra point after Chatham jumped out to a 6-0 lead and followed it up with touchdown runs of 68 yards and two yards for a 14-6 Montville lead after the first quarter. Feaster added a 49-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

Sussex Tech senior quarterback

Gruber ran 19 times in the run-heavy Mustangs offense for 144 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns in a 19-13 win over Hackettstown. Gruber ran for a 45-yard touchdown in the first quarter and plowed in from three yards out in the second quarter to take a 12-7 lead into halftime. Gruber completed one of his three pass attempts for 13 yards.

Sparta junior quarterback

Hoover was efficient with 22 completions on 26 pass attempts for 375 yards and four touchdowns during Friday's 42-6 win over Roxbury. Hoover had three passing touchdowns in the first half, connecting with Anthony Settembre on a 12-yard touchdown pass, as well as a pair of connections with Luke Doster from 13 and 68 yards.

Morris Knolls senior quarterback

Kaiser led a Golden Eagles offense that produced nearly 400 yards from scrimmage in a 34-14 win over Bridgewater-Raritan on Saturday afternoon. Kaiser rushed 10 times for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kaiser's 11-yard touchdown run in the first quarter put Morris Knolls on the board while a 43-yard touchdown run in the third quarter gave them a multi-score lead for the rest of the game. Kaier also found Auden Espeut for a 33-yard touchdown pass in the third.

High Point junior running back

Martress rushed 25 times for 169 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-21 win over Kittatinny. Martress had a 24-yard touchdown run and ran in for a two-point conversion in the first quarter, followed by a 48-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter. Martress added a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to go along with four catches for 38 yards in the victory.

Mount Olive senior tight end/linebacker

Youtz led the Marauders with 11 tackles and had 3.5 sacks in a 49-14 win over Randolph on Friday night. Youtz led a Mount Olive defense that forced two turnovers and had eight sacks on defense. Youtz also had two catches for 47 yards to lead all Mount Olive receivers.

Pequannock senior wide receiver/defensive back

Zuccala caught two passes for 83 yards and scored both times in a 38-7 win over Parsippany on Friday night. Zuccala also had seven tackles on defense and was perfect as the Golden Panthers' kicker. Zuccala connected on all five extra point attempts and hit a 36-yard field goal.
