You can never assume that all people know something, even if that something seems obvious. That's the case with the Kirkland butter recall. The product is being recalled, even though it is perfectly safe to eat for most people because the packaging doesn't specify that the cream used to make the butter 'contains milk'.
I never would have thought about cream being made with anything other than milk and I would also think that someone with a dairy reaction would also know that, as something they need to stay away from. Yet, not specifying that on the label in Idaho is the reason for the recall.
