Juanita Hockenbury, age 88 of Louisville, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024 at Norton Audubon Hospital surrounded by her family, after a strong fight against a severe illness.

She was born on Jan. 16, 1936, in Sadler, Ky., at her grandmother's home with the help of a midwife, to the late Presley and Cova Cook Whobrey.
