WhatsApp is introducing a new feature known as Custom Chat Lists. This functionality will enable users to categorize and prioritize their chats based on specific criteria. By creating custom lists, users can efficiently manage their conversations and focus on the most relevant messages.

This feature allows you to categorize your chats into custom groups, such as "Family," "Work," or "Friends." By organizing your chats, you can easily filter and prioritize conversations.

The company made the official announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter. The post's caption read, "create custom lists to filter your chats and focus on the people you care about in that moment. rolling out soon"

Using this feature is quite simple. Just open WhatsApp and tap the + sign in the filter bar at the top of your Chats tab. You can create and edit your lists by long-pressing on a list.

The company explains in its blog post, "Like your 'favorites,' you can add both groups and individual chats to a list, and any list you create will be displayed in the filter bar."

According to WhatsApp, Custom Lists are being rolled out to users today and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. The functionality of Lists is expected to be expanded to help users focus on the people and conversations that matter most.
