La Crosse, Wis. (WXOW) Central jumped out to a 21-0 lead on Sparta and never looked back on their way to a 47-28 win over Sparta.

The win improved Central's record to 5-1 in the MVC, tied fir first place with Holmen.

Christian Rudrud had a pair of five-yard touchdown runs to begin the offensive onslaught.

Gavin Shepard added a 27-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Central will meet crosstown rival Logan next week.
