The West Stockbridge Historical Society will present Ensemble Chamarré at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the West Stockbridge Congregational Church, 45 Main St.
The ensemble will offer a rare performance of the "Quartet for the End of Time" by Olivier Messiaen. The piece was written and performed for the first time during World War II while Messiaen was a French prisoner of war.
Ensemble Chamarré includes Catherine Hudgins on clarinet, Kate Wolfe on violin, William Rounds on cello, and Vitas J. Baksys on piano.
Tickets cost $40, $35 for WSHS members, and can be purchased online at weststockbridgehistory.org.
