A driver is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Madison Township Friday night.
Butler County Sheriff deputies and the Madison Township Fire and Life Squad were called to the 2400 block of Woodsdale Road around 11 p.m., according to a statement from the sheriff's Office.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a black Jeep was traveling off the road when the vehicle went over an embankment, causing it to roll over, the statement said.
There were two occupants in the Jeep, the driver and the passenger.The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Deputies have not released names of those involved and the crash is still under investigation.
