Tears For Fears drop first-ever live album, 'Songs For A Nervous Planet'

Tears For Fears have unveiled their first official live album, "Songs For A Nervous Planet," capturing the band's captivating performances across 22 tracks. The album, drawn from The Tipping Point Tour, features live recordings that journey through their career-spanning setlist. In addition, four new studio tracks -- "Say Goodbye To Mum And Dad," "Emily Said," "Astronaut," and "The Girl That I Call Home" -- offer fresh insights, touching on themes of love, isolation, mental health, and escapism.

Coinciding with the album's release, the band premiered their concert film, Tears For Fears Live (A Tipping Point Film), in over 1,100 cinemas worldwide. The film, shot at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, TN, during their sold-out tour, showcases iconic hits like "Everybody Wants To Rule The World," "Shout," and "Sowing The Seeds Of Love," alongside tracks from The Tipping Point.

Reflecting on the project, Curt Smith remarked, "We decided to film the live show last year because many don't realize we're a great live band." Roland Orzabal added, "After forty years, this is our first official live album."
