ANTIOCH -- A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night, police said.
The crash occurred around 8:25 p.m. on Lone Tree Way near Canada Valley Road. Antioch police officers arrived at the scene after receiving an emergency call reporting a pedestrian had been hit and found the 53-year-old woman unresponsive in the eastbound lanes of Lone Tree Way.
Officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the woman to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Traffic investigators are handling the case, which remains ongoing. The cause of the collision has not yet been determined, and authorities did not release any information on the suspect vehicle or driver.
Antioch police did not immediately respond to a request for an update on the woman's condition Sunday morning.
