Intel's Core 200H & Core 200U "Raptor Lake Refresh" CPU lineup has been leaked and will feature several models targeted at gaming & mainstream laptops.
Intel Plans To Release a "Raptor Lake Refresh" Mobile Lineup As Well, Involving SKUs Up To 16-Cores & 5.8 GHz
For those unaware, Intel's Lunar Lake chips aren't the only lineup that was being prepared by the firm for the laptop segment rather, the firm has planned out a refresh as the Core non-Ultra 200H series SKUs, which are set to be the mobile processors that weren't originally a part of the Raptor Lake-H series, which was dominated by the "HX" models.
Based on a leak by Jaykihn, we are now aware of how Intel plans to release Raptor Lake Refresh mobile chips, with a total of seven different mobile SKUs to be released, involving both the Core 200 "U" and the H" models.
Diving into a few specifics, Intel's "Raptor Lake Refresh" mobile chips are said to feature two Core "200U" SKUs coming at a TDP of 15W, notably the Core 5 250U and the Core 5 220U, which are supposed to be upgraded models of the relatively older Core 5 150U and Core 5 120U. Coming in with a 10-core configuration (2P/8E) with up to 5.0 GHz of clock frequencies, the 250U and the 220U are said to be entry-level models of Intel's upcoming "Raptor Lake Refresh" mobile lineup, mainly focusing on providing efficient performance.
For the "200H" models, well Team Blue has a total of five models to be revealed, with the Core 7 270H likely being the flagship model, as Intel might skip a Core 9 variant. The chip is rumored to feature a 14-core (6P/8E) configuration, and with a maximum frequency of up to 5.8 GHz, this particular mobile offering will surely act as a great alternative to the 13th-Gen H series, along with Intel's Lunar Lake chips as well, given that refresh models often come with great performance per dollar ratios.
As for when Intel expects to release the upcoming "Raptor Lake Refresh" mobile chips, Intel plans to launch the series alongside their Core Ultra 200HX & 200H "Arrow Lake" laptop CPUs, which are slated to launch by Q1 2025.
