CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Jhonkensy Noel and David Fry combined for two of the biggest home runs of the season for the Guardians as they walked off the Yankees, 7-5, in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Thursday.
Noel tied the game in the ninth with two outs off Yankees closer Luke Weaver, and Fry hit a two-run homer in the 10th against Clay Holmes to give the Guardians their first win of the series.
The two homers came after Emmanuel Clase gave up back-to-back home runs to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton with two outs in the top of the eighth, giving the Yankees a 5-3 lead.
The win forced a Game 5 on Saturday night with Game 4 coming up on Friday night at 8:08 p.m. Eastern.
