Azeez Al-Shaair knows what it looks like. In the Texans' first appearance on Sunday Night Football since 2019, he was caught on camera in front of a national TV audience throwing a punch off the facemask of Bears backup running back Roschon Johnson.

The Texans linebacker wasn't flagged on the play, but he was the target of plenty of criticism on social media. Standing in front of his locker after the Texans' 19-13 win at NRG Stadium, he just wanted everyone to understand the situation. He had just delivered what was ruled to be a clean hit on Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, then was immediately surrounded by orange jerseys, angry opponents with some choice words, trying to prevent him from getting back to his feet.
