It's a new year for the Washington Commanders. Unfortunately, as we learned in Sunday's season-opening 37-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it was more of the same.
In Ron Rivera's final season as head coach, Washington went 4-13 and was terrible defensively and only slightly better on offense. On Sunday, it was similar for the Commanders under new head coach Dan Quinn, offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr.
Throughout Sunday's game, Washington was outplayed and outcoached. The returning players looked no different than those who struggled in 2023. It's only one game, but it's not the type of start that Quinn envisioned.
As expected, X had plenty of thoughts on the Commanders' blowout loss. Here are some of those reactions.
