'Embarrassing faux pas': Trump confuses male singer for a 'hot' woman at his rally

Donald Trump at his latest rally reportedly made a slip-up that's being labeled as "embarrassing."

Trump at his event on Friday accepted the endorsement of a singer named "Nicky Jam," but the moment didn't go smoothly, according to a report from Billboard.

"Nicky Jam is officially endorsing Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. presidential election," the report states. "On Friday (Sept. 13), the former president held a campaign rally at the World Market Center in downtown Las Vegas, where the 43-year-old reggaetón veteran took the stage to show his support for Trump as he faces off against Vice President Kamala Harris in the November election."

Billboard continues:

"In an embarrassing faux pas, however, the ex-POTUS mistakenly referred to Nicky as a 'she' when introducing him to the crowd for his endorsement speech."

"Do you know Nicky? She's hot. Where's Nicky?" Trump can be heard saying on a video of the campaign event. As the male singer approaches the stage, Trump then says, "Oh, look, I'm glad he came up."

"Nicky, wearing a black sweatshirt and the Trump campaign's signature red 'Make America Great Again' baseball cap, then took the stage to deliver a brief statement," according to Billboard's report.

The moment was also flagged by Forbes.

Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign mocked the former president and even posted a video of the flub on social media.

"Trump: Latin music superstar Nicky Jam. Do you know Nicky? She's hot (Nicky Jam is a man)," the campaign wrote.

Artist Art Candee wrote, "Guess Donald Trump doesn't know what a woman is..."
