SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Arizona pitcher Zac Gallen has not allowed a hit through six innings against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night and the Diamondbacks led 3-0.

Gallen has thrown 63 of 100 pitches for strikes. The right-hander has eight strikeouts and four walks as he seeks his 50th career victory.

Arizona manager Torey Lovullo had reliever Kevin Ginkel warming up in the bullpen when the sixth inning ended.

Galen's season high is 108 pitches and his career high is 110.

Three of the walks by Gallen came with two outs in the second inning. Mike Yastrzemski also walked leading off the sixth but was erased on the next play when Heliot Ramos grounded into a double play.

The 29-year-old Gallen had two complete games in his previous 138 starts, the last in 2023.

Arizona has two no-hitters, the last by Edwin Jackson against Texas on June 25, 2010.

San Francisco has not been no-hit since Cincinnati's Homer Bailey accomplished it on July 2, 2013.
