Omaha police took two boys into custody after officers said they tried to burglarize a gas station. Officers responded to the scene near 30th and Lake around 1 a.m. and told KETV they saw the minors use a rock to try to break into the building. The two ran when they saw the police. Officers found them about a block away with the help of the Omaha police helicopter. Police said one of the boys was apprehended when he tried to cross the street. The other juvenile gave up when officers brought out a K-9 unit.
