The Ola auto driver yelled at the passenger who canceled his ride for another one. He proceeded to slap the woman over the issue. Thankfully recorded on the smartphone by the woman passenger, the abusive driver's behavior was caught in broad daylight as incriminating evidence. In yet another episode of the Abyssal Bengaluru Moment, an auto driver verbally abused and physically harassed the woman who booked two autos so that her friend did not miss her class. A common fare in Bengaluru, where autos are sometimes hard to get. However, the 46-year-old driver, R. Muthuraj, was in no mood to tolerate being canceled and was willing to tag along the woman to the police station. The video of his verbal and physical assault went viral, and police took action. The Magadi Road Police apprehended the driver.

Meanwhile, the enraged netizens reacted to the viral video with much disgust. One user quipped, "New Bangalore. New law and order -- gunda gardi." One expat from North India who was in South remarked how dangerous taking autos in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. She wrote, "I mostly took the metro" during her southern sojourn. Meanwhile, one user blamed the entire fiasco on product managers for failing to fix this issue. The user remarked, "Failure of product manager" and further suggested, "The charge of cancellation should be equal to the distance traveled by auto before cancellation."
