Fans are convinced that Jessica Simpson's latest social media post hint that she may have split from husband Eric Johnson.
The "With You" songstress took to Instagram on Monday teasing her return to music with a cryptic caption seemingly reigniting breakup rumors.
"Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic," Simpson wrote alongside a series of sultry pics of herself.
She added, "This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve ๐ถ ๐ผ ๐ค๐ค."
The 44-year-old's fans quickly took to the comments to react to her post, speculating on Simpson's marital status.
"Is this j simp saying she's single ?" one admirer wrote, while another replied, "I think her photos have been saying that for months ๐."
Meanwhile, a third fan couldn't help but notice that Simpson's recent Instagram posts have been missing her wedding ring.
"I think so because she stopped posting about him a while ago and none of her pictures ever have a wedding ring," they wrote.
A fourth fan was perplexed by the mysterious caption and asked Simpson, "Are you talking about your husband?"
Meanwhile, another admirer pointed out that Simpson shared the post on National Singles Day. "It's National Singles Day, queen ๐ฅ," they said.
Others defended the mother of three with one who quipped, "I think it's her saying she has new music coming out!" Another said they "can't wait" to "witness this comeback!"
Simpson - who has been married to Johnson since 2014 - previously spoke about her music career taking a turn when she was dropped from her label after the release of her 2008 album, "Do You Know."
"'You'll never recoup the amount of money we've put into you,'" she recalled her label telling her.
"It wasn't my choice to have Scott Storch or all these producers that [cost] a million dollars a track. I didn't control those budgets. We were just yes-people. And in saying yes to everything, I lost it all," she added during her July 2023 cover story with Bustle.
She also said that it "boggles" her mind that her fans are still interested in what she has to offer.
"It boggles my mind that I've stayed relevant and that people are curious," Simpson said. "Because I have not entertained. I have not entertained at all."
Although Simpson's Valentine's Day post earlier this year sparked divorce speculation due to the singer being solo in the snaps, the couple squashed the rumors by stepping out for dinner in Los Angeles that same night.
The "Price of Beauty" alum hasn't spoken on split rumors from the 45-year-old and even took to Instagram in April to share snapshots with her husband and their children for spring break.
Johnson and his wife share three kids including Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 12, Ace Knute, 11, and Birdie Mae, 5.
