Ex Eagles RB LeSean McCoy Calls Out Cardinals' Kyler Murray

As the Philadelphia Eagles gear up for their season opener against the Green Bay Packers, former Eagles star LeSean McCoy has sparked conversation with his pointed remarks about Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.

While McCoy prepares to be enshrined in the Eagles Hall of Fame later this year, his recent comments on social media have reignited discussions about Murray's standing in the NFL.

Murray, entering his sixth NFL season, recently reflected on his career achievements during a press conference, highlighting his undefeated high school record, Heisman Trophy win, dual-sport draft selections, and multiple NFL accolades. However, McCoy, now a Fox Sports analyst, wasn't impressed by the quarterback's resume.

He took to Instagram to dismiss Murray's self-praise, stating, "lol and what has that gotten u ??? Mid NFL career??? What we talking bout."

While McCoy's remarks may provide extra motivation for Murray as the Cardinals prepare to face the Buffalo Bills in their season opener, the timing is notable. McCoy, who played his final NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 and won two Super Bowls during his career, remains a revered figure in Philadelphia.

He will be honored by the Eagles on November 3rd, solidifying his place as the franchise's all-time leading rusher and one of its most beloved players.

McCoy, affectionately known as "Shady," amassed over 15,000 yards from scrimmage and 89 touchdowns during his 12-year career, which included stints with the Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buccaneers.

His impact on the field was matched by his charisma off it, making him a fan favorite across multiple teams.

As the Eagles prepare for the season, McCoy's Hall of Fame induction will serve as a reminder of his contributions to the franchise.

But his recent jab at Murray also shows he hasn't lost his competitive edge, even from the analyst's chair.
