John Klinberg has made his decision on a new home for 2024-25.
The marquee veteran defenseman has signed with the Edmonton Oilers on Friday per NHL insider Darren Dreger.
"John Klingberg heading to the Oilers," Dreger said on X.
Edmonton was reported to be the front-runner to sign Klingberg, so this decision does not come as a massive shock.
Klingberg had double hip resurfacing surgery just over a year ago in the fall of 2023. He last played on Nov. 11, 2024 for the Toronto Maple Leafs, where played 14 total games after splitting the 2022-23 season in Anaheim and Minnesota.
