AUGUSTA - Victoria N. McMillan, 83, of Augusta, passed away at her home on Oct. 16, 2024 with her family by her side after a long battle with dementia and lung cancer.

Victoria was born in Canada on Sept. 21, 1941, the daughter of Lionel and Irene (Couturier) Thibault. She came to the US at age 9 where she learned to speak and read English at the school and library in Auburn.

Victoria graduated as a Nurse from the Central Maine Vocational Institute in 1977. She worked for several nursing homes in the Augusta area. She loved taking care of the elderly.

Victoria was a member of Penny Memorial Baptist Church, was an avid reader, was a painter, and loved family cookouts and gatherings.

She was predeceased by both parents; her brother Norman Thibault, sister Fern Roux; stepson Patrick McMillan; and stepsister Kelliann Inclofano.

Victoria id survived by her loving husband Frank McMillan, Jr. of Augusta; daughter Debbie Boisvert of Augusta, son Steve Boisvert of Augusta; brother Raymond Thibault of Lewiston, sister Simone Lepage of Connecticut, sister-in-law Priscilla McMillan of Augusta; grandson Christopher Johnson of New York, granddaughter Madison Brown of Augusta; great grandchildren Rayden, Myla, and Jack; as well as nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the FMI staff, the geriatric staff, the hospice staff and the cancer center, all of Augusta.

There will be a graveside service at the Forest Grove Cemetery on Green St. in Augusta in the spring.
